Onr.

Scottish songwriter Robert David Shields was born in Renfrewshire and raised in the Lowlands, where he spent most of his childhood at his parents' farm overlooking the North Sea. He began making music as a teenager, eventually signing a publishing deal at 15 years and releasing an independent solo album shortly thereafter. By 2016, he had rebranded himself as ONR. — pronounced "honor" — and begun recording songs for the indie label Leftwing, which led to a major-label contract with Capitol Records in 2017. The anthemic singles "Jericho" and "5 Years Time" were released that same year. Warner Records signed ONR. in 2019 and released "Kill TV," Shields' collaboration with funk legend Nile Rodgers. "Must Stop," a duet with Phantogram's Sarah Barthel, followed, cracking the Top 40 of Billboard's Rock Airplay and Alternative Songs charts in November 2020.
