One Day as a Lion was an American rap rock supergroup formed in 2007 by Zack de la Rocha and Jon Theodore. De la Rocha, known for his work with Rage Against the Machine, and Theodore, former drummer of The Mars Volta and then-current drummer of Queens of the Stone Age, blended elements of rock and hip hop. Their debut EP, One Day as a Lion, was released in 2008 through ANTI-. The band performed live for the first time at Pomona, California, in July 2010, with Joey Karam joining on keyboards. Despite plans for further releases and performances, including a show at Coachella in April 2011. One Day as a Lion disbanded in 2011 without public announcement or reason.
