Oléma

Originally from Cameroon, Oléma discovered music on television, lulled by Californian folk, French variété, makossa and bensikin. At the age of 15, she taught herself guitar, inspired by John Mayer and Colbie Caillat, and began composing her own songs. She moved to France, passing through Troyes and Marseille, then Paris, where she studied guitar and music production at the W.A. Mozart Conservatory. Under the guidance of Blick Bassy, she found her voice in French, blending soul, groove and African percussion. In 2023, she unveiled"Marlène", an intimate, poetic debut project exploring identity, sensuality and transformation. Buoyed by the single"Les Mecs comme Toi", this project has been hailed for the finesse of its arrangements and its emotional depth. Resident of #JazzDeDemain at Baiser Salé.
