Nitro Mega Prayer, a Japanese screamo band, was formed in 1999 by Nakano on vocals and Amano on guitar. In December 2000, Shimeda on guitar, Atsushi on bass, and Rinta on drums joined the group. Their first album, The Reason of Hers Smile, was released in 2003, followed by their critically acclaimed album, Songs of Hypocrisy, in 2005. Later that year, they collaborated with Balboa on a split EP titled Nitro Mega Prayer / Balboa. The two bands embarked on joint tours in Japan and the United States.
