Nine Lashes

Nine Lashes, an American Christian rock band from Birmingham, Alabama, was formed in 2006 by guitarist Adam "Tank" Jefferson and drummer Keith Cunningham. The initial lineup included Jared Lankford on bass and Jon Jefferson on guitar, with lead singer Jeremy Dunn joining in 2007. Nine Lashes released their debut album Escape in 2009. Their breakthrough came when Trevor McNevan of Thousand Foot Krutch brought them to the attention of Tooth & Nail Records, leading to a signing and the release of their second album World We View in 2012. This album debuted and peaked at number 17 on the Billboard Christian Albums chart. Nine Lashes released their third album From Water to War in 2014, followed by a change in direction with the electronica and Christian rock styled Ascend in 2016.
