Neurosis

Neurosis is a cerebral metal band with roots in heavy metal, dark ambient and industrial. The band from Oakland, California, are known for their concept of using projections and visual elements in their live shows, inspired by Hawkwind, one of their models. The band's evolution has been gradual since its formation in 1985, with Neurosis initially focusing on punk metal. The breakthrough came with Enemy of the Sun in 1993, when the Neurosis formula found its distinctive style. Through Silver in Blood (1996), Times of Grace (1999), The Eye of Every Storm (2004), Given to the Rising (2007) further refined their unrivalled approach. Live at Roadburn 2007, released in 2010, is a testament to the strength of Neurosis on stage.
