Ñejo

Ñejo, born Carlos Daniel Crespo Planas in Ponce, Puerto Rico, on June 20, 1975, came up in reggaetón’s underground circuit in the early 2000s and became widely known as one half of Ñejo & Dálmata, the duo he formed with Fernando Mangual Vázquez. After appearing on collaborative projects and genre compilations during the first half of the decade, the pair broke through with songs such as "No Quiere Novio" and the 2007 album Broke & Famous, which reached the Top 10 on Billboard’s Latin Rhythm Albums chart. Alongside the duo’s run, Ñejo developed a parallel solo career built on guest verses and mixtape-era reggaetón, then issued his first solo studio album, Yo Soy la Fama, in 2014; the album reached number 21 on Billboard’s Top Latin Albums chart and included "Disfruta la Vida" and "Mi Estilo de Vida." In the years that followed he remained a regular presence in Latin urban collaborations, appearing with artists from several reggaetón generations while also revisiting the Ñejo & Dálmata name on later releases. Over the following years, his catalog continued in that collaborative lane, but 2025 marked a more defined solo milestone with YO SOY LA FAMA, VOL. 2, a full-length sequel that returned him to the album format with songs such as "Mirando," "Cuando Te Conocí," "No Vuelvo a Caer" and "Sigo Pensando en Ti" with Arcángel.
