Natalie La Rose was born on July 12, 1988 in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Her parents were of Surinamese origin, and she studied singing and dancing. At the age of twenty, this fan of Beyoncé and Whitney Houston flew to Los Angeles (California) to pursue her artistic dreams. In 2010, she became one half of the unsuccessful female duo Amsterdam. Full of nerve, Natalie La Rose then approached Flo Rida directly and became his backing vocalist from 2011 to 2013. Her patience was rewarded in 2015 with her debut single "Somebody". This R&B track with Jeremih reached No. 19 on the Billboard charts on its release, and began a world tour that took it as far as France.
