Nam Gyu-ri (born April 26, 1985, Seoul) is a South Korean actress and singer best known as the former leader of the vocal trio SeeYa and for her versatile acting roles in television and film. Born in Gwanak District, Seoul, she studied Theater and Film at Kyunghee University, which laid the foundation for her future in entertainment. Nam debuted with SeeYa in the mid-2000s, gaining recognition for her strong vocals and emotional performances. However, in 2009, she left the group following a contract dispute with Core Contents Media, stating a desire to focus on her acting career. Despite initially vowing to leave music behind, Nam resumed her singing activities as a solo artist under Eyagi Entertainment and contributed to various soundtracks and collaborative projects. In 2011, she briefly reunited with SeeYa during their farewell promotions before the group officially disbanded. As an actress, Nam gained acclaim for roles in Death Bell (2008), 49 Days (2011), and Kairos (2020), where she portrayed a complex, villainous character to critical praise. Over the years, she has worked with several major agencies, including SidusHQ and KORTOP Media, and as of 2023, she is signed with Higher Rank Entertainment. In 2025, she returned to music with the single “The Memory Part.1”.
