Mustafa Özarslan, born on December 28, 1970, in Sarıkaya, Şarkışla, Turkey, is a singer known for his contributions to world music. He began his musical journey in 1994 by forming the group Grup Çığ with Oğuz Aksaç, focusing on traditional Turkish music while incorporating elements from other genres. The group released five albums between 1998 and 2005, including Çığ Türküleri, Yayla Çiçeği, and Nida. Özarslan's solo career started with Sevdalı Turna Türküler in 2003, featuring the hit "Arayı Arayı", followed by Beyhude in 2006. He collaborated with Sabahat Akkiraz on the album Birlikte Türküler Söylüyoruz in 2008 and continued to release solo albums such as Şem in 2013 and Har in 2021.
