Moon Taxi, an American alternative rock band, was formed in 2006 in Nashville, Tennessee. The group consists of Trevor Terndrup (vocals, guitar), Tommy Putnam (bass), Spencer Thomson (guitar, programming), Tyler Ritter (drums), and Wes Bailey (keys). Their debut album, Melodica, was released in 2007 through their independent label, 12th South Records. The band gained traction with appearances at festivals like The Hangout Music and Arts Festival and Wakarusa. In 2012, they released their second studio LP, Cabaret. Moon Taxi signed to RCA Records in 2017 and released the single "Two High", which hit number 3 on the Adult Alternative Songs chart. Their fourth album, Daybreaker, was produced by Jacquire King and released in 2015. In 2021, Moon Taxi released their sixth studio album, Silver Dream.
