Real name Michelangelo Apanay, MJ Apanay is a New York-based songwriter, composer, performer and topliner, active in the pop, indie pop, R&B-soul, acoustic folk and soft pop genres. He has made a name for himself with his melodic, introspective songs, blending emotional sensitivity and polished aesthetics, and is developing a parallel writing activity for other artists.
