Lyn Lapid

Real name Katelyn Lapid, singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Lyn Lapid was born in Baltimore, Maryland, on October 24, 2002. Of Filipino descent, she studied piano at the conservatory and played violin in an orchestra for seven years, before turning to pop. Revealed on social networks by her covers of well-known tracks since 2018, the musician pokes fun at a bad experience with a producer in the song "Producer Man", her first single released in 2020 and followed by the EPs In My Mind (2022) and The Outsider (2022). Taken from the former, the track "In My Mind" went viral in 2021, attracting the attention of record labels. Signed by Republic Records, then transferred to Mercury, the artist released the album To Love in the 21st Century in 2023, enriched by three new tracks on the new edition To Love in the 21st Century: The Epilogue. After duets with Ruth B., Whethan, mxmtoon and grentperez, Lyn Lapid records her second album Buzzkill, released in 2025, from which the singles "Coraline", "I'll Be Happy When" and "Death Wish" are taken.
