Guo Wengui (born on February 2, 1967), who goes by the stage name Miles Guo, is a Chinese billionaire, political activist, and real estate mogul who had an unexpected viral hit in 2020 with the dissident track “Take Down The CCP.” One of the richest businessmen in his native China, Wengui fled the country in 2014 under accusations of corruption by the Chinese Communist Party and finally found political asylum in the United States. As part of his ongoing campaign against China’s communist regime, he released the singles “Take Down The CCP” and “Fight for Hong Kong” in 2020. Both tracks quickly blew up online, reaching the top of the streaming charts in several countries and peaking at Number 2 and 13 on Billboard’s Rock Digital Song Sales chart, respectively. Follow-up single “Dear Mamma, I Am Ending The CCP” became the fifth most-downloaded song in the US as “Drinking Down The CCP” topped the streaming charts in countries like Canada, New Zealand, and the United Arab Emirates.
