Michy Reincke

Michael Reincke, better known as Michy Reincke, was born on October 3, 1959, in Hamburg, Germany. At 16, he traveled through Europe performing songs by Bob Dylan. In 1983, he founded the band Felix de Luxe, composing and singing their well-known tracks “Taxi nach Paris” and “Nächte übers Eis.” After the band disbanded in 1989, Michy started his solo career with the album Paris (1991), which featured the hit “Valérie, Valérie.” He then released albums such as Rintintin (1992) and Das böse Glück (1993). In 2011, his album Der Name kommt mir nicht bekannt vor drew media attention. He also founded the music label RINTINTIN Musik and co‑organizes (since 2004) the Lausch Lounge concert series to support local musicians.
