MEminor

MEminor is a fast-rising Japanese rock band formed in September 2024, led by Vo/Gt Misaki, a female college student singer-songwriter also known on TikTok as “Kumogumi,” and Ba Sasuke, a producer recognized as the Vocaloid creator “Monouge,” whose track “Hitsuyou naindane feat. 9Lana” surpassed one million streams. Their meeting brought together introspective lyricism and sharp musical sensibility, quickly shaping MEminor’s distinctive sound and identity. Shortly after forming, MEminor won the grand prize at the Tsuta Rock Audition, marking an explosive start to their career. This achievement led to appearances at many of Japan’s major circuit festivals, firmly positioning them as one of the most talked-about new bands in the Japanese rock scene. Their momentum continued online as well, with their social media following surpassing 10,000 in a short time. Their first one-man live show at Shibuya eggman sold out in just one minute, a clear sign of their rapidly growing fanbase and strong live appeal. Their release “Akuma de seikatsu”(2025) captures the band’s raw honesty and emotional realism, reflecting everyday life with a delicate yet powerful edge. Supported by drummer Aoi and guitarist Wata-san, MEminor continues to move forward as a bold and uncompromising new voice in Japanese rock.
