Nakigoto

Nakigoto is a Tokyo‑based J‑pop band formed in July 2018 by vocalist‑guitarist Emiri Mizukami, formerly known as “Emily‑N Go,” and guitarist‑chorist Ami Okada after the dissolution of their previous group. The pair named the new project after a home‑recorded acoustic album title that reflected Emiri Mizukami’s feelings when the former members departed. Their breakthrough came with the 2019 nationwide single "nakigao" released through murffin Lab., followed by a split tour with osage and a debut EP Yoru No Tsukurikata, which landed a spot on Tower Records’ 2019 October “Music of the Month” list. In 2020 they released the single "sasayaki", then the digital single "Syunchuumu", and added the track "Raspberry". The band’s second mini‑album Tasogare STARSHIP, issued on 7 April 2021, featured a limited edition DVD of a live performance, and their third mini‑album Patoro-Nenouchigawade, released 1 December 2021, was supported by a nationwide tour that reached the studio’s largest audience to date. 2023 marked the release of their first full‑length album NAKIGOTO, a 22‑track CD‑2 set that sparked a nationwide tour and a first‑time all‑solo show at Shibuya Club QUATTRO. The band appeared at Rock in Japan Festival in both 2023 and 2026. In 2025, after signing with Epic Records Japan, they issued the major‑debut EP Magic Hour, featuring the pre‑release single "Tabun, Ai". 2026 saw the release of Amamaginmi, written for the Pocky CM, and the single "204 goushitsu", while Emiri Mizukami began a solo trajectory following Ami Okada’s graduation in December 2025.
