Nakigoto is a Tokyoâbased Jâpop band formed in Julyâ¯2018 by vocalistâguitarist Emiri Mizukami, formerly known as âEmilyâN Go,â and guitaristâchorist Ami Okada after the dissolution of their previous group. The pair named the new project after a homeârecorded acoustic album title that reflected Emiri Mizukamiâs feelings when the former members departed. Their breakthrough came with the 2019 nationwide single "nakigao" released through murffin Lab., followed by a split tour with osage and a debut EP Yoru No Tsukurikata, which landed a spot on Tower Recordsâ 2019 October âMusic of the Monthâ list. In 2020 they released the single "sasayaki", then the digital single "Syunchuumu", and added the track "Raspberry". The bandâs second miniâalbum Tasogare STARSHIP, issued on 7â¯Aprilâ¯2021, featured a limited edition DVD of a live performance, and their third miniâalbum Patoro-Nenouchigawade, released 1â¯Decemberâ¯2021, was supported by a nationwide tour that reached the studioâs largest audience to date. 2023 marked the release of their first fullâlength album NAKIGOTO, a 22âtrack CDâ2 set that sparked a nationwide tour and a firstâtime allâsolo show at Shibuya Club QUATTRO. The band appeared at Rock in Japan Festival in both 2023 and 2026. In 2025, after signing with Epic Records Japan, they issued the majorâdebut EP Magic Hour, featuring the preârelease single "Tabun, Ai". 2026 saw the release of Amamaginmi, written for the Pocky CM, and the single "204 goushitsu", while Emiri Mizukami began a solo trajectory following Ami Okadaâs graduation in Decemberâ¯2025.
