Megon McDonough

Megon McDonough, formerly Megan McDonough, is an American folk and cabaret singer-songwriter and actress from Crystal Lake, Illinois. She began writing songs at age 11 and secured her first record deal at 14 after winning a local talent contest. She released four albums on Wooden Nickel Records between 1972 and 1974, and by age 17 had opened for John Denver at Carnegie Hall, as well as Steve Martin and Harry Chapin. In 1990, McDonough became a founding member of the folk group Four Bitchin' Babes, performing and recording with the ensemble until 2001 before returning to her solo career. Her discography includes In the Megan Manner (1971), Keepsake (1973), and American Girl (1990).
