McCafferty

McCafferty, an American indie rock band from Medina, Ohio, was formed in 2011 by singer-songwriter Nick Hartkop. The band's early releases included EPs such as Moms+Dads and Japan. In 2014, McCafferty signed with Monkey Boy Records to release their first full-length LP, Beachboy. Following lineup changes and hiatuses, the band released Thanks. Sorry. Sure. in June 2017, which charted at number 23 on Billboard's Top Independent Albums and number 5 on Heatseekers Albums. In February 2018, McCafferty signed to Triple Crown Records and released their second full-length album, Yarn. The band continued with releases such as "Fentanyl" and "Sellout" from their third album, The House with No Doorbell, in 2019. McCafferty faced significant turmoil in early 2020 when allegations of abusive behavior by Hartkop led to the departure of members Easterly, Graham, and Joecken. McCafferty released their 12th EP, I've been thinking about giving up lately, in 2024.
