Matt Moffitt

Matthew David Moffitt, born on August 20, 1956, in Sydney, Australia, was a singer and guitarist. He began his musical journey with the band Rum Jungle during his teenage years. In late 1978, Moffitt formed Matt Finish, which became known for their high-energy performances and melodic guitar-based rock. The band's debut single "Mancini Shuffle" (1979) was followed by their first album Short Note in March 1981, which peaked at number 14 on the Australian Kent Music Report Albums Chart. Their second single "Short Note" reached number 18 on the same chart. Matt Finish disbanded in late 1984, and Moffitt released his solo album As Little as a Look in 1986, featuring the top 30 hit "Miss This Tonight". He later reformed Matt Finish in 1990 and continued performing until his death on August 12, 2003.
