Matt Brouwer

Matt Brouwer, born Matthew Paul Brouwer on February 28, 1976 in Truro, Nova Scotia, is a Canadian singer-songwriter. His music has been known for its Contemporary Christian message, reflecting his personal journey of tragedy and hope. He co-founded Monday Night Worship while attending college, which led to his discovery by a Nashville record company in 2000. His solo debut album Imagerical was released in 2001 on Reunion Records and featured several hits including "Water" and "Sanity". Brouwer formed Black Shoe Records, releasing albums such as Unlearning (2005) and Where's Our Revolution (2009), which won the Juno Award for Contemporary Christian/Gospel Album of the Year. Notable singles include "I Shall Believe", a cover of Sheryl Crow’s song, in 2005 and "Sometimes" from Where's Our Revolution, which charted in the top 20 of Billboard charts in 2010.
