Mallory Knox, a British alternative rock band formed in Cambridge in 2009, comprised lead guitarist Joe Savins, drummer Dave Rawling, vocalist Mikey Chapman, bassist Sam Douglas, and rhythm guitarist James Gillett. The group released the free EP Pilot on 4â¯Julyâ¯2011, followed by the single "What She Gonna Do?" on 17â¯Septemberâ¯2011, establishing an early presence in the UK indie scene. Their debut album Signals launched on 21â¯Januaryâ¯2013, reaching numberâ¯33 on the UK Albums Chart, and was supported by a UK headline tour and appearances at Download and Slam Dunk festivals. In 2014, the band issued Asymmetry, which peaked at numberâ¯16 on the UK chart, and continued touring with acts such as A Day to Remember and Biffy Clyro. The 2017 release Wired was issued through RCA Records and preceded by singles "Giving It Up" and "Better Off Without You", with the group performing at Reading and Leeds. After vocalist Mikey Chapman departed in Februaryâ¯2018, bassist Sam Douglas assumed lead vocals, and the band recorded the selfâtitled album Mallory Knox released 16â¯Augustâ¯2019, followed by a farewell tour that concluded the groupâs activity. In Decemberâ¯2023, Slam Dunk announced a reunion for 2024 festivals, reuniting all original members.
