Maeckes

Maeckes (born September 20, 1982 near Stuttgart) is a rapper and music producer from Germany. Born Markus Winter, he is also a member of the duo Maeckes & Plan B and part of the band Die Orsons. He was already interested in freestyle rap as a teenager. In 2001, Maeckes won the "Royal Rumble Freestyle Battle". This brought him into contact with fellow rapper Plan B, later known as Bartek. The two begin to make music together. Their first joint product is the album Dayz of the Championz (2004). A year later, Maeckes released his first solo mixtape, Der bessere Mateja Kezman Tonträger. After a series of further releases, the rapper made his first chart entry in Germany in 2010 with the album KIDS, which reached number 96. At the same time, Maeckes also began releasing records with the band Die Orsons. The rapper's popularity in Germany continues to grow as a result. The joint single "Blue Uganda " together with Marteria, Lady Slyke, Bris Jean, Abramz and Sylvester made it to number 66 in 2013. In 2016, the album Tilt climbed to number 14 and thus into the top 20 of the German charts. Five years later, the follow-up POOL made it to number one in the German album charts. The EP Nekomata (2022) is followed two years later by Gitarren Album, the next long player.
