Lustra

Lustra was formed in Boston in 1996 by Chris Baird, Nick Cloutman, Jon Baird, and Jason Adams, who initially performed under the name Seventeen before adopting the name Lustra in 2001 after a legal dispute. The group released their debut studio album Lustra on 12 February 2003, followed by Left for Dead on 22 February 2006, which included the single “Scotty Doesn't Know” that reached number 75 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 2006 and appeared on the soundtrack of the 2004 film EuroTrip. In 2008 Lustra issued What You Need & What You Get on 24 September, and the EP ...Comes In Three’s was released on 1 December 2009. In 2011 drummer Gant Frink joined, replacing former members, and the group recorded new material until 2016, when they disbanded following Chris Baird’s relocation to the East Coast. Lustra’s work remains noted for its contribution to early 2000s pop-punk, with “Scotty Doesn't Know” achieving enduring popularity through digital sales and continued streaming presence.
