Los Primos de Durango

Los Primos de Durango are a Regional Mexican band formed in 2003 in Vicente Guerrero, Durango, rooted in the energetic duranguense genre and distinguished by their youthful lineup, including Arturo Manuel Vargas Ríos (vocals/sax), Javier Eduardo Vargas Amaya (vocals), Luis Enrique Vargas Ríos (drums/keyboard), and Jesús Fernando Vargas Ríos (sax). Their early catalog features spirited albums like Grandes Éxitos and Mas Candela Duranguense (2004), followed by Nostalgia Duranguense and Tal Vez (2005), which affirmed their place among regional icons. With Voy a Convencerte (2007), they hit their stride by consolidating a vibrant dancefloor sound, later capturing it live on En Vivo Su Gira Power Duranguense and Con Fuego en Tu Piel…100 % Duranguense Light (2008). The celebratory albums Mi Mejor Regalo: Una Década Contigo and Solo Para Fans (both 2009) marked their tenth anniversary, while Leyenda Duranguense (2010) established lasting fan favorites. Continuing to release consistent material—including Amor Brutal (2013), Rescatando el Amor (2014), Y Sigue la Lumbre (2016), and Lo Más Escuchado de (2019)—they underwent a notable rebrand as Los Primos MX, signing with Latin Power Music and expanding their reach with millions of monthly listeners and a strong presence on social media platforms. Subsequent singles like “Tu Magia” (2024) as well as collaborations with El Trono de México, demonstrated their ongoing relevance and adaptability.
