The Los Angeles Master Chorale, a professional chorus based in Los Angeles, California, formed in 1964 by Roger Wagner. They initially performed at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion before moving to Walt Disney Concert Hall in 2003. Under Grant Gershon's direction starting in 2001, they presented over 450 concerts, spanning early choral music to contemporary compositions. Notable collaborations include performances with the Los Angeles Philharmonic and Hollywood Bowl Orchestra, conducted by figures such as Gustavo Dudamel and Esa-Pekka Salonen. They commissioned 24 new works and premiered 40, highlighting a dedication to both classical and modern repertoire. Significant recordings under Gershon's direction include the albums Miserere and A Good Understanding. Other notable album releases include Daniel Variations and You Are (Variations).
