Lonely the Brave

Lonely the Brave is an English alternative rock band from Cambridge, England, formed in 2008 by David Jakes, Mark Trotter, Andrew Bushen, and Gavin Edgeley. They began recording and performing locally, inspired by bands like Pearl Jam. Their self-produced EP Backroads (2010) was followed by a British tour that garnered positive reviews from outlets such as Kerrang! and BBC Radio 1's Zane Lowe. In 2013, they signed with Hassle Records. They released their debut album, The Day's War (2014), which reached number 14 in the UK and was well-received by critics. Their second album, Things Will Matter (2016), followed. In 2018, Jakes left the band due to mental health issues and was replaced by Jack Bennett. With Bennett as the new vocalist, they released their third album, The Hope List (2021), under Easy Life Records, and their fourth album, What We Do to Feel (2023). Bennett left the band in 2026.
