Lloyd Polite Jr., aka Lloyd, is an American hip-hop and R&B performer who first gained fame with the boy band N-Toon, which broke up in 2001. He launched his solo career with the album 'Southside' (2004) which went to number three on Billboard's Top R&B/Hip-Hop Chart and number eleven on the Billboard 200. 'Street Love' (2007) reached number two on the R&B/Hip-Hop Chart and the 200, 'Lessons in Love' (2008) topped the R&B/Hip-Hop Chart and peaked at number seven on the 200 and 'King of Hearts (2011) went to number five on the R&B/Hip-Hop Chart and number ten on the 200 EP 'Tru' (2016) hit number eleven on the Top R&B Albums Chart. He has had more than 20 songs on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs Chart including four in the top ten: 'You' (2007) featuring Lil Wayne, 'Get It Shawty', 'Lay It Down' (2010) and Young Money's 'BedRock' on which he featured. 'Dedication to My Ex (Miss That)' (2011) featuring Andre 3000 and Lil Wayne went to number three on the Official U.K. Singles Chart. He featured on Lloyd Banks's 'Any Girl' (2010), which reached number 24 on Billboard's Rap Songs Chart and on Wale's 'Sabotage' which hit number 16. His single 'Tru' (2016) reached number 16 on the Hot R&B Songs Chart and it featured on his 2018 album of the same name.
