Limão Com Mel

Limão com Mel, a Brazilian band from Salgueiro, Pernambuco, was formed by Aílton Souza and debuted in 1993. Initially a dance group called Talismã, it transitioned into a forró music ensemble and released its first LP in 1995, featuring the hit single "Anjo Querubim". The band's debut album, Vol. 2, was released in 1996 and sold 100,000 copies. Early members included Edson Lima and Ângela Espíndola as lead vocalists, with Batista Lima joining later. In 2001, Edson Lima left to form Gatinha Manhosa, leaving Batista Lima to take over vocals and musical direction. The group achieved significant success, selling three and a half million albums and earning multiple gold and platinum records. They appeared on various television programs, including those hosted by Raul Gil, Hebe Camargo, and Gilberto Barros.
