Xand Avião

José Alexandre da Silva Filho, known professionally as Xand Avião, was born on March 24, 1982, in Itaú, Rio Grande do Norte, Brazil, and began his musical path performing in various local bands before stepping onto the national stage in 2002 as the co‑lead vocalist of Aviões do Forró—a role he held through 2018. With Aviões, he recorded a series of multi-platinum studio and live projects, including Volume 1 (2003), Volume 5 (2007), and Xperience na Praia (2017), driving massive hits like “Faz o X,” “Inquilina,” and “Pool Party” that helped to define the Qué Calor era of forró eletrônico. In May 2018, after Solange Almeida's departure, Xand Avião officially launched his solo career, retaining the band's touring lineup but under his name, and released his first solo album Voando Alto later that year. He followed up in 2019 with the live DVD Errejota Ao Vivo, which featured guest vocals from Gusttavo Lima. In 2021, he issued the studio album Viva la Vida, and in 2023 delivered the polished EP 1MPAR, further expanding his solo repertoire. Xand also unveiled Xand’s Bar (Ao Vivo) in 2024 and O Forró É Pop (Ao Vivo) in 2025, showcasing his continued ability to captivate audiences with high-energy live performances.
