Layto, real name Paul Anthony Catalano, is an American singer-songwriter born in Boston, Massachusetts, on September 15, 1992. He is making a name for himself with a hybrid style blending alternative pop, dark electro rock and hip-hop influences, driven by introspective lyrics, atmospheric sounds and dense production. He emerged in 2018 with the single "Little Poor Me", which went viral thanks to streaming platforms and marked his musical universe characterized by themes of personal struggle, alienation and emotional resilience. His debut EP, The Low Boy (2019), confirms his musical identity with a melodic and melancholic approach, combining catchy refrains and instrumental tension. Layto then followed up with several singles, including "Houndin", "Golden Eyes" and "Alpha", while consolidating a loyal following. 2021 saw the release of the Arrived EP, which deepened Layto's fusion of alternative rock and modern pop production. His unique style, between melodic tension and introspection, made him a rising figure on the American alternative scene of the 2020s, with tracks such as "S.O.A.G." (2022) and "Houndin Pt. II" with Aviva. Following the release of the Alternative Psycho album in 2023 comes the Feed Me Amnesia EP (2025), featuring the duet "IOU " with WesGhost, "Hurt (I Don't Think I'm Pretty)" and "Drown (Tie Me Up)".
