La Montra

Ivanchys Méndez, known professionally as La Montra (often billed as “La Real Montra”), is a Dominican urban singer who broke out in 2016 with a run of viral, slang-heavy singles built for the club circuit. That year she put her name on crowd-shout hooks like “Que Perra Mi Amiga” (including a remix with Crazy Design), followed by the chant-driven “Dónde Están las Atrevidas (Toma Toma Toma),” which became her signature title and helped cement her as a recognizable voice in the dembow-adjacent party lane. In late 2016 she entered a new career phase by signing with Mercenario Musik and pushed forward with the single “De un Millón Pa’ Llá,” presented as a more upbeat, self-assured message while keeping her punchline-first delivery. In 2017, La Montra took her music to Mexico for promotional runs and live dates across multiple cities, pairing the shows with releases such as “Te Decidiste” and “Cero Apeche” and receiving local recognition tied to LGBTQ+ community events.
