Kraak & Smaak

Kraak & Smaak, a Dutch musical production trio consisting of Oscar de Jong, Mark Kneppers, and Wim Plug, formed in Leiden, Netherlands, in 2003. Their initial recordings were released by UK label Jalapeno Records in the same year. The group's breakthrough came with their debut album Boogie Angst, released in 2006, which featured artists like U-Gene and Dez. They gained significant traction through radio airplay and television appearances and performed at major festivals such as Pinkpop, Sziget, and Coachella. Their second album, Plastic People (2008), included the single "Squeeze Me" featuring Ben Westbeech, which reached number 6 in the Dutch pop charts. In 2011, they released their third album, Electric Hustle, followed by Chrome Waves in 2013 and Juicy Fruit in 2016. Kraak & Smaak won the European Border Breakers Award (EBBA) in January 2009.
