Kim Hyeon-seong, born on January 10, 1978, in Seoul, South Korea, is a singer and author. He debuted in 1997 with his first album "Wish (소원)" and paused his activities after releasing his sixth album Heart of Romeo in 2005. However, he resumed his career in June 2016 with the single "News (From the Red)" followed by another single "Heyday." He possesses exceptional vocal range and a beautiful, heartfelt voice that has deep resonance. During his most active years in his twenties, hits like "Wish (소원)" and "Heaven" brought him great success; notably, "Heaven," one of the most difficult songs in Korean pop history, marked his career's peak—an iconic song that brought him wealth, fame, and legendary performances. However, overexertion from performing this song led to a sudden vocal cord illness. On May 4, 2025, he made his comeback with the single "Begin Again," a release in 15 years. The track immediately reached 157 on Melon’s Top 500 chart. Unlike before, he has nearly fully recovered his vocal condition and has returned to the stage with a renewed voice.
