Kim Gil-joong

Kim Gil-joong, born on October 29, 1982, in Gangneung, South Korea, is a rock singer known for his powerful vocals and husky tone. In the early 2000s, he gained prominence as the leader of Rock Town 21, one of Korea’s largest online rock communities. His popularity soared, with a fan club membership reaching nearly 40,000. He was particularly recognized for his performances of "Thousand Years of Love and Steps", which showcased his impressive vocal range. Despite a decline in mainstream recognition in the 2010s, Kim continued his musical career, releasing solo albums and working as a vocal trainer. In 2019, he revived public interest by appearing on You Look Great and holding a sold-out solo concert. His signature song, "Though I Loved You", which is included in his album Time to Fly (2005) remains his most well-known work.
