Kery James

Born in 1977, Kery James embarked on his rap adventure under the wing of MC Solaar (Kery B), before joining the Idéal J collective for a handful of albums and an underground hit ("Hardcore", 1998). In 2001, he embarked on a solo career marked by questions about his faith and tolerance. In 2008, his third album A L'ombre du Show Business - featuring a guest appearance by Charles Aznavour - took him straight to the top of the charts, where he stayed for several weeks. The success of Réel in 2009 was followed by the release of the CD and DVD A Mon Public, recorded at the Zénith in Paris. In 2012, Kery James releases his first best of with 92.2012. His sixth album, Dernier MC , was released in May 2013. More committed than ever, three years later he delivers Mouhammad Alix, an uncompromising record, terribly bitter about the social situation in France.
