Keith Reid

Not really a musician, Reid is best known for his association with composer Gary Brooker in the Procol Harum band from 1966 onwards, particularly for the surreal lyrics of "Whiter Shade of Pale", a Bach-inspired global hit which topped the U.K. charts for 6 weeks in 1967. After the band's first break-up in 1977, Reid set up his own management company before working on the comeback in 1989.
