Born in Tulas, Oklahoma, on May 16, 1993, Kaitlin Butts is an American country singer. She began singing as a child and performed in musicals, before becoming a fan of Miranda Lambert, whose songs she learned by heart. After studying at Union High School, Kaitlin Butts entered the Academy of Country Music at the University of Central Oklahoma and wrote her first songs. She worked on an independent debut album with producer Mike McClure, which saw the light of day in 2015 under the title Same Hell, Different Evil. Subsequent singles such as "White River", "How Lucky Am I" and "Marfa Lights" met with great interest on social networks, before the release of the seven-track album What Else She Can Do (2022), produced by Oran Thornton. It includes a song written with Angaleena Presley (Pistol Annies), "Blood". After the release of the Sad Yeehaw Sessions EP the same year, she produced another for the OurVinylSessions series and recorded the Shania Twain cover, "That Don't Impress Me Much", with Disko Cowboy and French Horn Rebellion. In 2024, the six-version EP "Hunt You Down" gave a foretaste of the Roadrunner! album, inspired by Rodgers & Hammerstein's musical Oklahoma!
