K

Kang Yoon-sung, known professionally as K, was born on November 16, 1983, in Goyang, South Korea. He is a singer specialising in K-pop and R&B music. From an early age, he was drawn to the sounds of R&B, gospel, and soul, with influences including Boyz II Men and Babyface. His musical journey began when he sang alongside a piano at his local church, where he was discovered by a producer who offered him a professional career. He debuted in Japan in March 2005, with the release of his first single "Over..." under Sony Music Entertainment Japan. This marked the beginning of a successful career in the Japanese music industry. His debut album Beyond the Sea, released in January 2006, quickly rose to the top of the Oricon charts in Japan. Throughout his career, he released several notable albums and singles, including "Dakishimetai", "Girlfriend", and "Only Human". In addition to his Japanese releases, he also produced music for the Korean market, with albums such as K (2004) and Beautiful Smile (2006).
