Juliet Roberts

Juliet Roberts is a British singer born in London on May 6, 1962. Best known for her powerful voice, which blends soul, jazz and house, she made her mark in the 1990s with several European club hits, including "Caught in the Middle" (1993). Originally from Grenada, Juliet Roberts began her career in the 1980s, initially as a backing singer. She worked with Working Week, a British jazz-funk band, as lead singer on several albums between 1984 and 1989. In the 1990s, she embarked on a solo career, quickly establishing herself on the British dance/house scene thanks to her collaboration with producers such as "Dancin'" Danny D and Roger Sanchez. Her hits include "Caught in the Middle" (#24 in the UK), "I Want You" (#28 in the UK and #1 in the US dance charts in 1994) and "So Good" (#15 in the UK). In 1994, Fire Island's remix of "Caught in the Middle" reached #1 in the US dance charts. These three hits are featured on the album Natural Thing (no. 65). In 2002, the second album, Beneath the Surface, saw Juliet Roberts change register and move towards jazz.
