Johnny Jewel

Born John David Padgett in Houston, Texas on May 31, 1974, the producer, composer, multi-instrumentalist, and label owner is better known as Johnny Jewel. His best-known solo recording is the 2015 song "Tell Me" (featuring Saoirse Ronan) from the soundtrack to Lost River. He has composed music for films – including Bronson (2008), Drive (2011), Lost River (2015) and his award-winning work on Home (2016) – as well as television shows including Those Who Kill (2014) and Twin Peaks: The Return (2017). Known for recording with all-analog equipment, he runs the label Italians Do It Better. Jewel is a member of various bands on the label including Glass Candy, Desire, Symmetry, and The Chromatics. Outside of his label and band responsibilities, he has also found time to release a series of solo EPs and albums including The Other Side of Midnight (2014), Windswept (2017) and Themes for Television (2018).
