John Summit

Hailing from the birthplace of house music, Chicago, John Summit has been doing his city proud since 2017 with a string of chart-friendly house-oriented releases. Born John Schuster on 29 July 1994, the DJ and producer stepped out with his debut track “Girl” in 2017, released on Build It Records. After building up momentum on the scene over the next few years, in 2022 he graced the Top 40 with "Sun Came Up," a collaboration with Sofi Tukker, also making waves that year with the singles “Human"—which raced to number one on the US Dance Radio charts—“La Danza,” and “Don’t Forget My Love.” 2022 was a significant year for John Summit, who launched his own talked-about label Off the Grid in March. 2023 saw the release of new single "Fade Out" featuring MKLA. In 2024, he dropped his eagerly anticipated debut album Comfort in Chaos, which featured singles such as “EAT THE BASS” and the juddering, Sub Focus and Julia Church-featuring "Go Back." The album became John Summit’s first major long-form statement, debuting at number 2 on Billboard’s Top Dance/Electronic Albums chart and number 39 on the Billboard 200, and later earning a Billboard Music Awards nomination for Top Dance/Electronic Album. In 2025, he expanded the Experts Only brand with the first Experts Only Festival in New York, held on Randall’s Island, while releasing new material and remixes including “Focus” with CLOVES, “crystallized” with Inéz, an official remix of Britney Spears’ “I Wanna Go” and his remix of Anyma and Ellie Goulding’s “Hypnotized.” In 2026, John Summit returned with CTRL ESCAPE, his second album, released through Experts Only and Darkroom Records. The 13-track project included “SHADES OF BLUE,” “SATA,” “WITH ME” with Julia Wolf, “ALL THE TIME” with The Chainsmokers and ILSÉY, “MESS W/ ME” with Nija, “LIGHTS GO OUT” with America Foster and “CHICA 305” with Feid, broadening his house and techno base with drum and bass, trance, Latin tech house and melodic dance-pop elements.
