American country singer, songwriter and musician John Morgan was born in Sylva, North Carolina, on August 8, 1995. He grew up in the Great Smoky Mountains southwest of Asheville, and began performing in a family bluegrass band for ten years, before moving to Nashville to pursue a solo career. Noticed during a studio session with Jason Aldean's musicians, he took part in the composition of the latter's double album Macon, released in 2021. Aldean signs the talent to his own BBR Music Group-affiliated Night Train label, and sings a duet with him on the hit "Friends Like That", ranked #1 on the Canadian country charts and #57 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100. For his part, Morgan takes part in the American Song Contest in 2022 and records several more singles in parallel with the release of the Remember Us EP (2023) and prior to his debut album Carolina Blue (2025).
