Jack Garratt

Author, composer and multi-instrumentalist Jack Garratt was born on October 11, 1991 in High Wycombe, England. The son of a music teacher, Garratt's early acoustic blues was less than satisfying, before he opted for indie pop with R&B and electro undertones. His style defined, Jack Garratt enjoyed his first successes during 2015 with the singles "Breathe Life" and "Worry " (#67 in the UK). Released in February 2016, his debut album Phase (charted at No. 3) made a name for itself in much of Europe, justifying in hindsight the awards received in 2015 from institutions such as the BRIT Awards and the BBC. The tracks "Surprise Yourself" and "Far Cry", in particular, stood out from the crowd and earned him a request from Katy Perry in 2017, as co-writer and producer of the track "Power" for the American star's album Witness . Once this hurricane had passed, he got back to work on his project and in 2020 delivered the album Love, Death & Dancing (No. 8), supported by the singles "Time" and "Better". In 2020, Jack Garratt produced a series of six experimental EPs featuring tracks from the album. After the release of the live album Live from the Eventim Apollo (2021), he returns in 2023 with the danceable Hands Go Up, followed by a salvo of singles heralding the release of his third studio album, Pillars (2025).
