I‑ZAX, formed in Bangkok in 1999 by lead vocalist Petchpan Pannam, emerged from a university music collective that included drummer Jaturong Nithiamong and guitarist Pongsaphat Thongcharoen. The band’s debut single "ดอกไม้กับหัวใจ" from the album คนรักกัน (2002‑11‑12) topped the national radio charts, establishing the group’s presence in the Thai rock scene. Subsequent releases followed a clear chronology: ใจถึงใจ (2004‑01‑15) introduced hits such as "เขียนใจให้เป็นเพลง"; Tag Team (2005‑11‑15) featured "เปิดใจ" and "ขาดความมั่นใจ"; I‑Zax Songs Hitz (2007‑04‑27) compiled twelve chart‑topper tracks, including the original "เพื่อเธอ", and marked the band’s final release before a temporary disbandment after contract expiration with GMM Grammy. The group re‑emerged in 2017 without label affiliation, issuing singles "ยังรักกัน" and "ก็ไม่รู้…จะรักไปทำไม", and in 2024 signed with Battery Music, returning guitarist Pongsaphat and releasing a rearranged version of "เรื่องของหัวใจ".
