Israel Nash

Israel Nash is an American singer, songwriter, and guitarist born in the United States in 1981. Israel Nash Gripka moved to New York City in 2006 and performed in clubs on the Lower East Side. Their debut solo album, New York Town (2009), was followed by Barn Doors and Concrete Floors (2011), which featured the drummer Steve Shelley. Nash's discography includes the albums Rain Plans (2013), Israel Nash's Silver Season (2015), and Lifted (2018). Their recording “Rain Plans” (2013) appeared in the film Captain Fantastic. Nash became inactive in March 2024 before resuming activity in November 2025. Their most recent album is Ozarker (2023).
