Isegye Idol, a Korean VTuber girl-group project, was formed on August 26, 2021, through an audition organized by live streamer Woowakgood. The group debuted with their first single "Re : Wind" on December 17, 2021, which charted at Number 1 on Bugs and Gaon Download Chart, setting a record for a virtual musical artist. Isegye Idol's members are real people who perform using virtual avatars, contributing their voices and personalities through motion capture technology; their identities remain undisclosed. Following their debut, Isegye Idol released "Winter Spring" on March 11, 2022, a K-pop ballad that topped the Gaon Chart downloads for the week of March 6 to March 12 and reached Number 36 on the Melon charts. The group continued their success with the release of "Lockdown" on June 23, 2023. Isegye Idol's subsequent releases include "Stargazers", released in 2025. All six members are active as internet broadcasters, with Gosegu becoming the first member to surpass 100,000 subscribers on YouTube on February 21, 2022, and all members reaching this milestone by March 21, 2022. Their EP Be My Light, released on November 3, 2025, entered Korea's Top 100 albums chart at rank 6 on the week it was released.
