With the success of her infectious dance anthem 'Hot' in 2010, Romanian pop sensation Inna grew from making appearances at small nightclubs in Bucharest to touring the globe and scoring over two billion views on YouTube. Growing up in the southern seaside resort city of Mangalia, Elena Alexandra Apostoleanu went on to study political science at university and was working in an office when production team Play & Win spotted her talent. She unsuccessfully competed to become Romania's Eurovision Song Contest entrant in 2008 under the name Alessandra, but later started using the childhood nickname that her grandfather had given her, Inna, and was soon topping her nation's charts with 'Hot' and picking up airplay in neighbouring countries. The trance-house track eventually reached number six in the UK charts in 2010 and follow-up singles 'Amazing' and 'Sun Is Up' also made the top 20 as her popularity began to spread to Japan, Mexico and America. Singing in English, Spanish and Arabic, her second album 'I Am the Club Rocker' featured collaborations with DJ Juan Magan and rapper Flo Rida, and Inna steadily established a global fanbase that she refers to as her club rockers. Later albums 'The Party Never Ends' and 'Nirvana' produced successful, electro-pop singles such as 'Good Time' and 'Cola Song' before she formed supergroup G Girls in 2016 with fellow Romanian singers Antonia, Lori and Alexandra Stan.
