Hundred Reasons, an English alternative rock band, was formed in London in 1999. The group consisted of Colin Doran on vocals and keyboards, Larry Hibbitt on guitar and occasional lead vocals, Andy Gilmour on bass and backing vocals, and Andy Bews on drums. Their initial releases included three EPs: EpOne, EpTwo, and EpThree between 2000 and 2001. The band's debut full-length album, Ideas Above Our Station, was released in May 2002 to critical acclaim and commercial success, peaking at number 6 on the UK Albums Chart and achieving Gold status with sales of over 118,000 copies. Notable singles from this period include "I'll Find You", "If I Could", "Silver", and "Falter". Their second album, Shatterproof Is Not a Challenge, was released in April 2004 and achieved Silver status with sales of more than 65,000 copies within four months. Despite this success, the band was dropped by Sony BMG in June 2004. Hundred Reasons signed to V2 Records in September 2005 and issued their third studio album, Kill Your Own, in March 2006. Following the departure of guitarist Paul Townsend, Ben Doyle joined the band for their fourth album, Quick The Word Sharp The Action, released in October 2007. After an extended hiatus from 2009 to 2014, Hundred Reasons reunited and played anniversary shows before releasing their fifth album, Glorious Sunset, in February 2023.
