Humate

Humate was founded in 1991 by DJ Gerret Frerichs in Germany; Frerichs later continued the project as a solo endeavor after the departure of Oliver Huntemann and Patrick Kjonberg. Early work focused on club-oriented releases, with the first single "1996" issued on 5 January 1997, followed by "Stretcher" on 12 July 1999. The breakthrough came with the track "Love Stimulation" in 1998, which reached Number 18 on the UK Singles Chart after a remix by Paul van Dyk was released by Jive Records, and it became a staple of European trance clubs. Subsequent releases included "Breed" in 2005. Humate continued to produce music through 2007, when the single "Choose Life" was released. Throughout the decade, the project maintained a presence in club circuits and received recognition for its contribution to trance, with "Love Stimulation" cited as a classic of the genre.
